Chase 'Em Back™ Tools Reverse Thread Chaser Instructions Featuring reusable wrap-around thread chasers, the tools use a hinge that allows it to be wrapped around the undamaged threads at the base of the stud and backed off to reform the damaged threads to a like-new condition.

To repair threads, simply open the correct size tool and wrap it around the threads to be repaired. The damaged threads can be chased forward or backward using the T-Bar or Socket included with Chase 'em Back Tool kits or with your own hand tools (note: do not use impact wrench or other power tool).
1. CHOOSE APPROPRIATE WRAP-AROUND THREAD CHASER. 2. APPLY APPROPRIATE LUBRICANT OR CUTTING OIL TO DAMAGED THREADS. 3. INSTALL THREAD CHASER AROUND UNDAMAGED THREADS PORTION OF STUD, BOLT OR SPINDLE. 4. USING A SUITABLE SOCKET WRENCH OR ADJUSTABLE WRENCH WORK THE WRAP- AROUND RETHREADER COUNTER-CLOCK WISE OVER THE DAMAGED THREADS (ADD MORE LUBRICANT AS NEEDED). 5. CHECK CONDITION OF THE THREADS BY INSTALLING A NEW NUT TO THE STUD, BOLT OR SPINDLE. IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO CHASE DAMAGED THREADS MORE THAN ONCE T0 OBTAIN A CLEAN THREAD PATTERN.
CAUTION: Do not use an impact gun or any other pneumatic or electrical power wrench with these rethreaders. The Chase 'em Back Tools™ Thread chasers are manufactured of hardened steel and treated for anti-rust. |
